GET TO KNOW ME!

I am a native speaker who grew up and lives in Greece. My parents are both teachers, so as a child I watched them teach. I enjoyed the process of sharing knowledge, so I decided to become a teacher myself.

After passing my high school exams, I studied at the University and obtained a degree in education. Then, I decided to gain more knowledge in my field of study. So, I got two master's degrees in "Educational Psychology" and "Educational Technology".

First of all, my main goal was to educate myself more and more in order to offer the best services to people who want to learn the Greek language. I wanted to base my teaching on research on successful teaching approaches and the psychology of learning, discover more modern learning techniques related to online learning, and gain a deeper understanding of how an online classroom works.

My second goal was to experience all this not only in theory but also in practice. That's why I chose to do both of my master's degrees online so that as a student I can see all the difficulties that an online class can have, learn how they can deal with them, and get to know all the specifics of the ex distance education. After my experience as an online learner and an online teacher, I can vouch that online learning definitely works for everyone, regardless of age or level.

While studying at University, I taught family friends, that were spending their summers in Greece, how to speak the language and I loved it! For some years I combined it with working in Greek schools, but then I decided that teaching Greek as a second language to people from countries all over the world was my passion, the job I wanted to do for a living! So I followed my dream and made it come true! Now, I work full time and focus solely on this.

However, my dreams of more education do not end here. My next goal is to become a PhD candidate and this is very close to starting! Meanwhile, I never stop studying new research on teaching approaches and methods.

What I want to achieve is not only to be an expert who gives students the lesson they deserve, but also to make them happy. This is your hobby, so you should feel pleasure during the lesson time, not stress. So, let's meet, let's learn, let's laugh!
